Exmouth House Social

About Us

Reflecting Social Media Week’s global theme for 2012, “Empowering Change Through Collaboration”, three London-based digital agencies (Mint Digital, Specialmoves and Tempero) are coming together as “Exmouth House Social” to host a series of events at Exmouth House, Farringdon from Monday 13th February – Friday 17th February.

The three agencies (who all have their offices in Exmouth House on Exmouth Market) provide very different online services, from social media management and marketing, to website and app design and build. By coming together to form “Exmouth House Social” (#ExHoSo), they hope to host the most events under one roof during Social Media Week London 2012. As well as hosting events (which will range from practical workshops to more interactive sessions such as a Facebook Developer Garage), each agency will also provide placements for four young people for the duration of Social Media Week in association with “CREATE Jobs”, a partnership programme that provides work-related opportunities for young people from the Olympic Host Boroughs helping young people get started in the creative industries. The young people chosen will have a unique opportunity to get an insight into the day-to-day activities at three very different digital agencies, as well as some practical work experience.

“CREATE Jobs has developed a framework that helps tackle youth unemployment by bringing a new cohort of young people into the arts and creative industries. We are delighted that 4 young people from London’s Host Boroughs will have the opportunity to be involved in Exmouth House Social. They’ll get to experience three different agencies, be part of Social Media Week and learn a huge amount from peers in just 4 days. This invaluable experience will look great on the participant’s CVs and raise awareness about what jobs they can move into.” Steven Moffitt, Chief Executive Officer, A New Direction (who manages CREATE Jobs).
